Restored website after letting go of my job
After letting go of my job of 7 years, I have finally restored my personal website using MODx
I had a personal blog a few years ago that I mostly use to write about personal stuffs and a few useful posts about tech here and there, it was in albertdiones.com(Blogspot) then I moved it to blog.add.ph but now I moved it back to albertdiones.com because I am feeling it is inapproriate to associate it with www.add.ph; blog.add.ph was in Wordpress, I want to get the posts there, because.
Using the Articles extension of MODx it was very easy to import my Wordpress posts. I just got my previously exported data that I found on my backup file, that is an XML file then just used that to import the posts to Articles.
MODx has an article about this that was really easy to follow:
I used and modified the confusingly named "Read Only" template from HTML5
One of the reason I found the time and motivation to restore the website is because I have let go of my full time job, being an offsite senior programmer and team leader for a US company for 7 years. I plan to write again about my interests specially Crypto which I recently got into and is closely studying and is expecting to be a major contributor of earnings and survival money. How that goes will be documented on this website too.
